My Double Critter Nation Cage Liners

In response to a letter I received via email, I did a video going into better detail of my Double Critter Nation Cage liners.

This is the email I received from Ana:
Hello Shawna,
I have to admit that your Critter Nation Cage tour video has convinced my husband and I that we need to upgrade from our Martin's Cage! Thank you! Just the ease of accessibility and the fact that you stated it was the easiest cage for you to clean ever really made our eyes sparkle. Even though we have only had our three girls (Ghost, Lady, and Nymeria) for a month we can't help but want to spoil them.
I did have a question about your Critter Nation cage. I was wondering how you go about covering the shelves? From the tour and pictures I can infer that you possible use the binder clips to clip on pieces of cloth (or bath mats) that are a little larger than the shelf itself. Is that right? Does anything special need to be done on the edges that are against the bars? Could I ask what your method is to keep everything looking to tight, clean and cozy?
Or dare I be brazen enough to ask for a "how to" video?! ;) Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you again for your amazing blog. I really look forward to your posts and sharing them with everyone at home. I've said it before, but it is really helpful especially for us first time rat owners!

  1. I went tonite and got some purple fleece for the cage I bought from you, figured it would cut down on the droppings on the floor as well as cushion their lil feet. Have my cage complete now with a hammack and houses. They are very spoiled. Thanks for your continued tips to making our lil ones happy!
